History

The original idea for the 2012 Gold Coast Christmas Pageant was developed in 2010 upon the conclusion of the spectacularly successful Winter Olympic Games street party, hosted by Festive Events Management. With their 21st anniversary approaching, Festive Events spent the following year meeting with many sponsors and the Gold Coast City Council developing plans for the massive community event. Festive Events and the pageant’s generous major sponsors including the Suncorp Group, 102.9 Hot Tomato, the Gold Coast Bulletin and many more local organisations, really wanted to create an event that gives back to the families of the Gold Coast.

The pageant’s hopes to attract 100 000 spectators in its first year and continue to grow as one of the Gold Coast’s highly anticipated events. Make sure you dont miss out and sign up your local club or team to be a part of the action too! The 2012 Christmas Pageant hopes to follow in the amazing footsteps of wonderful pagents that have lit up the Christmas spirit and cheer in Australian children.

Since the event is all about spreading joy through the Gold Coast during the festive season, the team at Festive Events Management has also developed a close bond with the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. During the build up to the event day on the 16th of December, with your help and the kind donations from various sponsors, Festive Events and the 2012 Christmas Pageant hopes to raise some much needed funds for the Foundation to ensure a joyful Christmas for all the children and their families who need our help.
